Jack Draper, happy with the intensity of his semi-final, won against Lorenzo Musetti in Madrid: "We were fully committed from the first ball"

Jack Draper, who qualified for the Madrid final after his victory against Lorenzo Musetti, 6-4, 7-6 (4): "It was a really good match from both of us. I felt like we were going all out from the first serve. And towards the end of the second set, I felt he was pushing hard to come back, he started to play even better, he hit a lot of winners. I regained control of the match thanks to good serves and volleys. I think I started to serve better and to sense what was making him uncomfortable at that moment, to not let him dictate the game.
On clay, he's even stronger than elsewhere and to get this victory against him in these conditions means a lot to me. We played quite a few times in juniors and it's nice to play again a guy we've known for a long time. I'll be wary before my final. Even if Casper (Ruud, his opponent on Sunday) hasn't won a Masters 1000 yet, he has a lot of experience with Grand Slam finals, he plays really well and I'll have to be able to come on court with my best tennis to hope to win."
